Founded in 2014 by John Donaghue, Boombastic Events has grown from a single silent disco in Northampton to six cities across the Midlands. Real events, real photos, real community. Not a template copy-paste operation.
It started in 2014 with one idea: throw a silent disco in Northampton and see if people turn up. They did. And they kept coming back.
Silent Disco Greatest Hits became the most popular silent disco in the region, now celebrating its 10th anniversary. Three DJs, three channels, one dance floor. The concept was simple, but the execution was anything but. Every detail mattered: the right venue, the right setlist, the right energy.
In 2025, we launched THE 2PM CLUB, a daytime disco format that ditches the headphones for a full sound system. Four hours of 80s, 90s and 00s anthems, starting at 2pm, home by 7. It became an instant sell-out across every city we took it to.
Today Boombastic Events runs sell-out events across Northampton, Bedford, Milton Keynes, Coventry, Luton and Leicester. Northampton remains home turf, where it all began.

We run real events. Every photo on our site is from a real Boombastic event, not a stock image. Every testimonial is from someone who was actually there. We have been doing this for over a decade because we care about getting it right.
There are no shortcuts. We do not use AI-generated imagery to pretend our events look a certain way. We do not copy-paste the same template into every city and hope for the best. Each venue is chosen because it is right for the format, and each event is built around the crowd that will be there.
